Por medio de sensores, transductores, servomecanismos y software, ahora los robots evaden barreras, juegan fútbol, brazos robóticos que arman automóviles o computadoras, hasta robots que vuelan y robots satélites instalados en el espacio exterior, todos guardan en sus entrañas conjuntos de algoritmos hechos por el hombre que son cada vez más complejos, estos algoritmos aún no pueden desarrollarse por selección natural, faltaría desarrollar una conciencia de auto gobierno para poder multiplicarse, las ciencias necesarias para ponerla en práctica se encuentran ya en gestación, de ahí el peligro verdadero de que puedan desarrollar inteligencia y auto-reproducirse para finalmente inundar el mundo.
